Simulators in the railway field

LAN System, together with other companies specializing in the field, has developed simulators in the railroad field.

Automation and control systems are installed at two railway research centers.

In the first case, we developed a Hardware In the Loop simulator for the study of wheel/rail interaction. The system can recreate different route scenarios in real time and stress the locomotive under test on the test stand with them.

The activity involved our company:

• In the design of electrical installations of automation systems
• In the control of the bench
• In the study, synthesis and implementation of a mathematical model adopted for the above simulations

In the second case, the electrical, automation and control systems of three simulators dedicated to studying the electrical and mechanical interaction between pantograph and catenary were designed.
